Overall Band Score
IELTS, the International English Language Testing System, evaluates English language proficiency across four key components: Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking. The test provides a comprehensive assessment, assigning scores on a scale from 1 (Non user) to 9 (Expert User) to reflect varying levels of language proficiency.
Each test taker receives a Test Report Form detailing their overall band score, which is the average of scores from the four components. The sub-scores for Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking are also provided, with each component contributing equally to the overall band score.

Band 8 (Very Good User): Shows a high level of competence, handling complex language tasks effectively.
Band 7 (Good User): Displays good command of English, though with occasional inaccuracies.
Band 6 (Competent User): Indicates a competent level of English for academic and professional environments, with generally effective communication.
Band 5 (Modest User) to Band 1 (Non user): Represents varying degrees of limited proficiency, where communication may be restricted by frequent errors or limitations.
